Caring for dentures is easy, when you know how. When our customers get dentures for the first time, they can feel a little overwhelmed. Sure, they’re rebuilding their smile and therefore building up their confidence, but dentures are a big adjustment.
These days, dentures look SO natural, and they won’t be noticeable at all. However, you have to take pride in them, just as you would with real teeth. Here’s how!

Togglekeep the dentures clean
After eating, it’s important to get into a habit of brushing your dentures with a soft bristled brush. This will remove food particles and stop bacteria from becoming a problem. Don’t use whitening toothpaste, because this can bleach them and ruin our perfect shade matching.
Rinse them properly before popping them back in.
keep your mouth clean
If you still have some teeth, you should brush and floss as normal.
It’s also vital that you brush your gums, tongue and palette!
soak your dentures overnight
To keep your dentures in tip-top shape, they’ll need to stay moist in most cases. That’s how you’ll ensure they stay a perfect fit.
You can choose to store in water or a denture-soaking solution. If you come to smilogy, we’ll talk you through what’s best for you.
keep your dentures safe
In order to brush them or soak them, you’ll need to take your dentures out. It’s best to place them in water or on a towel when they’re not in your mouth.
If you drop them, they can break easily as they’re quite fragile.
