This part is equally exciting as it is nerve-wracking. First, we\u2019ll show you a preview of what your smile is going to look like with veneers before you get started. Our smile design technology helps you see the planned result before you proceed.<\/p>\n
You\u2019ll be so excited by this point that you\u2019ll barely notice the next steps! We need to prepare your natural teeth, to make space so that the veneers will fit naturally and also hygienically.<\/p>\n
We\u2019ll level with you – we have to remove some tooth enamel. However, this is usually only a fraction of a millimetre, unless you need to massively change the position of your teeth.<\/p>\n
Don\u2019t worry, you\u2019ll be numbed throughout. Afterwards, you may feel a little sore, but it\u2019s nothing to worry about. Over-the-counter pain relief can usually help you manage any discomfort.<\/p>\n
After your teeth have been properly prepared, you\u2019ll move onto the next step. Your temporary veneers will be worn until we\u2019ve finished crafting your long-term ones for you.<\/p>\n
At this stage, you might experience some discomfort. Your teeth will be numbed, but you might feel a bit bothered by the vibrations of our preparation tools. In some cases, this vibration might cause your tooth pulp to become inflamed. Any swelling in this area could be a little painful, but can be treated with the likes of ibuprofen.<\/p>\n
At this stage, you may also experience a little smile sensitivity. The temporary veneers aren\u2019t quite as tough as your final ones, so you won\u2019t be as well insulated against hot or cold. You won\u2019t have to wear these for long!<\/p>\n
Okay, it\u2019s almost time to see your finished smile! Your final veneers are created to your exact needs, which is why they aren\u2019t ready right away. These are custom in terms of material, shape, size and shade.<\/p>\n
When they\u2019re ready, the temporary veneers come off and we bond the final veneers to your teeth. Again, we\u2019ll numb you, so this doesn\u2019t usually cause discomfort.<\/p>\n
Veneers can be a big change, so you may get a little bit of an uncomfortable feeling in the days after. Just a bit more sensitivity, that kind of thing. Your local pharmacy can usually help with this.<\/p>\n
